Visiting for a prescribed MRI
The centre is opposite IHBAS Hospital Gate No. 3 on GTB Hospital Road. It is an independent diagnostic centre; mentioning nearby hospitals does not imply affiliation or that a hospital has requested a particular scan.
Brain, cervical or lumbar spine, knee, shoulder and other body-area MRI studies may be requested by a clinician. The prescription determines the region and whether a plain or contrast study is needed. See the main MRI service page for common examinations.
Before leaving for the centre
- Bring the prescription and earlier relevant scans or reports.
- Tell the booking team about any pacemaker, implant, prior surgery, metal fragments or possible pregnancy.
- Ask whether your study requires fasting, contrast or a recent kidney-function test; preparation is not the same for every MRI.
- Confirm the current charge and expected report time for your specific examination. Most scan reports are generally available in about four hours, but this is not a guarantee for every case.
