Is contrast needed for every MRI scan?
No. Whether contrast is needed depends on the prescribed examination and the clinical question. Tell the team about kidney disease, previous contrast reactions and pregnancy; the radiologist will assess suitability. Do not arrange contrast or change medicines on your own.
When will my MRI report be available?
Reports for most MRI scans are typically available in about four hours. Some studies require additional review. Confirm the expected time for your examination when booking; this is not a guaranteed deadline.
