For CT with IV contrast, 4 hours of fasting is required. A kidney function test (serum creatinine) is needed before contrast injection. Diabetic patients on Metformin must stop it 48 hours before and after contrast CT. Please inform our team at the time of booking if you are diabetic or have kidney disease.
